Purpose of the Assignment
In your Module 7 Lecture Materials you learned about WHAT mindfulness is and HOW to practice it. Dr. Lothes voicethread provided 2 mindfulness practices that you could follow along with. As we have mentioned, mindfulness is a practice that will benefit you from regular and intentional effort.
Completion of this assignment will demonstrate your mastery of the module and course objectives:

Mindfulness Homework.docx
Next, write and share a detailed reflection of your experience in the template:
Indicate which mindfulness practice you did and for how long at the top.
Fill in each space below the WHAT section to give a brief description of what you observed inside and outside of you (stick to fact statements without judgement) and what did you do to stay engaged (participate) in the practice.
Fill in the HOW skills section by making notes of any judgements that came in and what you did to get back to your mindfulness practice. If you didn’t have any judgements, notice that too. Briefly share what you did to make your practice a one-mindful “success”. For example, did you turn off your phone, turn off your TV, practice mindfulness in your bedroom alone, did you do it in your car (while parked), at the library, or on a bench outside because your roommates are too distracting at home? Lastly, what did you do to be effective in this situation? For example, observe yourself when you start wanting to be “right” instead of effective. Work to give up being “right” and switch to trying to be effective. Or observe yourself if you start judging anything.
What did you do to gently bring your puppy dog mind back to the practice you selected?
