This week, we discuss some difficult circumstances that may affect healthy aging: giving and receiving care, LGBTQ older adults, and mental wellness.
In speaking with your older adult interviewee, did you notice any issues with caregiving, care receiving, or mental wellness?
After reading Chapter 3 (pp. 32-37) and viewing the video below, discuss the barriers faced by LGBT older adults. What can you do as a nurse to advocate and/or promote inclusion for this population.
