NMH was established a few months ago and is crafting its capacity planning in light of a current surge of covid cases. Given the information accumulated in the previous years of the pandemic, they are expecting an average of 6 patients per hour coming into the designated part of the facility. It is known that 10 out of 100 patients will require ultimately be hospitalized. They know that a doctor cannot effectively serve more than 5 patients per hour, while they have 35 beds adequately equipped to for admitted covid 19 patients.
Does NMH need to hire additional doctors or get more beds?
