Proposal for Student Discipleship
Objective
Create a proposal to implement a student discipleship program in a Christian school.
Instructions
Part 1
Look over the list of discipleship attributes again:
Discipleship involves:
Bible engagement – “a life-long learner of the Word”
Obeying God and denying self – “deny self, take up your cross and follow me” (Matt. 16:24).
Serving God and others – “Intentionally finding ways to serve God and others.”
Sharing Christ – “share His love and message of redemption.”
Exercising faith – “obeying God’s Word even when unsure.”
Seeking God – “pursue a love relationship with Him.”
Building relationships – “doing life together.”
Unashamed transparency – “being unashamed of Jesus and transparent among Christians.”
Right doctrine – “knowing biblical doctrine and living it out.”
Write a proposal for One student discipleship program that you can implement at a Christian school. These can be written in paragraph or bullet point format. It should look professional in format. Must include:
Student age group
Attributes of discipleship (from above) targeted by the discipleship program
Overview of what the program would entail
1-2 paragraph Rationale based on course readings and student age group must include at least two sources cited in APA format
Recurrence (Annual, Quarterly, Monthly, Weekly, Daily)
Needed resources including curriculum, books, technology, equipment, etc.
Instructional Methods (Ex. Direct Instruction, note taking, project, journaling, practice, KWL Chart, etc.)
Assessment (How can you/teachers assess that students are growing spiritually in this attribute?)
Part 2
Create a colorful, age-appropriate flier to recruit students to join the discipleship program. This must be a one-page leaflet or flier. It must look attractive and have pertinent information from above that students would need to choose to take part. It can include made up locations, teacher names, etc.
