Go to a public place of your choice. Make passive deceptive observation about your topic of interest. Make a systematic observation for at least one hour and see how people act and behave in those public spaces. Try to be as deceptive as you can to produce enough data. If people ask you tell them you are working on your class assignment. At the end write a report about your observation and provide your own opinions about why people acted or behaved the way they did.
Based on your own cultural assumption how many of these behaviors are just simply individual behaviors and how many of them are culturally informed acts of behaviors?
Based on your observation, can you guess the motives of individuals about their actions and behaviors? If the answer is “No” what other alternative means you could use to know that exact motives?
